Overnight oats is one our favorite recipe because it is so easy to make. For this, absolutely no cooking required to make this.

My toddler is a big fan oats and because it is rich in fibre, I try to incorporate it in our diet frequently. Additionally, when you soak oats overnight, oats becomes soft and it helps to break down phytic acid which is helpful to absorbs nutrients.

Once oats has become soft, it becomes so creamy that I just love the creamy texture. It is like the delicious pudding you are having in your breakfast. You can completely avoid sugar if you want in this recipe because fruits are added and it is a natural source of sugar.

Are overnight oats healthy?

Yes, Overnight oats is a healthy choice. Oats are a nutritious whole grain packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, offering numerous health benefits. They are easy to digest. When you soak oats, its almost like youre cooking them, but the process is much longer and slower, and its done without heat.

It can be prepared without sugar however I am adding maple syrup because we love it.

Rolled oats – rolled oats are my favorite type of oats for soaking purpose. You can also use steel cut oats.

Fruits – Choose your favorite fruits to add, It could be strabwerries, blueberries, mangoes, bananas or apples. However, If adding apple or bananas, add them at the time of serving otherwise it will turn black.

Nuts – I love walnuts and almonds in my overnight oats, you can add cashews, pecans, and raisins.

Sweetner – sugar,maple syrup, honey or sugar free sweetner. What ever you prefer. You can totally skip sweetner too.

Greek yogurt – I am using plain greek yogurt here as main soaking ingredient. You can use regular yogurt, fat-free yogurt, vegan yogurt, milk, vegan milk as per your dietery prefrence.

Additinallay, you can also add chia seeds and pumpkin seeds for an added nutition.

How to(with pictures)

Making overnight oats is really simple.

Take a mason jar, add oats, nuts, fruits, greek yogurt with little bit of water just to adjust the consistency, maple syrup on the top and cover it with lid.

If planning to add apple,banana or pears, ADD them only at the time of serving. they turns black after some time. It is not advisable to have them after turns black.

Refrigerate it overnight and enjoy next morning.

Making overnight oats is real simple. Choose your favortie fruits, nuts, and add them in a jar with oats and greek yogurt. Goodness is in that jar!

  • cup Rolled oats
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup, optional
  • ¼ cup your choice of nuts, chopped
  • ½ cup Your choice of fruits
  • ¼ cup water, to adjust the consistency

Instructions
