Do you guys remember our curry nation talk’s first episode? well, I told you about my friend aarti and This dip recipe is shared by her. She shared this hung curd and garlic recipe with me 2 years back.

This recipe came to the rescue a week back when I was having my regular “budhani” potato chips and was thinking about making some cheesy dip. I opened my refrigerator and realized that I have no ingredients to make a cheesy dip. I actually prepared hung curd to make some last batch of mango shrikhand. Well, I dropped that plan and tried this garlic dip.

dip or dipping sauce is a common condiment for many types of food. Dips are used to add flavor or texture to a food, such as pita bread, dumplings, crackers etc. Indian chutneys are also one type of dipping sauce.

before moving further, I would suggest checking this detailed post on making hung curd at home. You can even use Greek yogurt instead of hung curd. The process of making this dip is very easy and minimal ingredient is required. I have used fresh garlic here but you can use garlic powder too.

Can we store this dip?

YES, YES and YES! You can store or even deep freeze this dip. Store it in an air tight container or a freezer friendly zip lock bag and refrigerate it. If you are storing it in a refrigerator, this dip stays fresh for 4 to 5 days.

In the freezer, this dip stays fresh up to a month.

  1. I love recipes made with hung yogurt or curd, I either use it for savory dips or for desserts. This combination sounds delicious as well.
