Coconut milk – I am using full-fat coconut milk here for the richness and creaminess. However, you can use lite coconut milk too.

Sugar – White granulated sugar works fine in this recipe however, it gives a whitish color to condensed milk. You can use light brown or brown sugar to get that brownish shade 🙂

How to make vegan condensed milk?

Making condensed milk easy as well as tricky.

In a thick bottom pan, mix coconut milk and sugar, whisk, and make sure there are no lumps.

On a medium flame, cook the coconut milk and sugar mixture. Stir the mixture frequently.

You will notice, that the first mixture will start bubbling and then it starts getting thickened.

After cooking for about 10 to 15 minutes on medium flame, you will notice the mixture has significantly reduced.

That’s it, turn off the flame and cool down the mixture. It will start getting thicker once cools down – trust the process:)
