Garlic and cumin - give that pungent flavor.

Salt and lemon juice - to taste.

Olive oil -extra virgin olive oil is used to make the best hummus.

Tahini - homemade tahini or store-bought, Tahini plays an important role to make the best hummus.

Ingredients
 

  • ½ cup Canned chickpeas, boiled or canned
  • 1 tablespoon Tahini paste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Cilantro
  • ½ cup Olive oil, for topping
  • Chili flakes, optional
  • few drops Lemon juice, optional

Instructions
 

  • Take a food processor first.
  • Meanwhile, drain you canned chickpeas and wash them off.
    ½ cup (82 g) Canned chickpeas
  • add garlic cloves into food processor, cumin, tahini, salt, cilantro, lemon juice.
    1 tablespoon Tahini paste, Salt, 2 Garlic cloves, ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) Cumin, 1 tablespoon Cilantro, few drops Lemon juice
  • Add chickpeas.
  • Crush to a smooth paste.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Add some olive oil on the top.
    ½ cup (118.29 ml) Olive oil
  • Sprinkle some chili flakes.
    Chili flakes
  • Serve with falafel and pita bread.

Notes

  • you can add lemon juice as per your taste.
