Jhalmuri is another famous Indian Street food recipe. Jhalmuri is often known as Jhalmudi is a cousin of indian bhel recipe. The recipe is slightly different from bhel. This particular version is widely served on the streets of Kolkata.
jhalmuri vs bhel
Jhal Muri is the Bengali (Kolkata) version of Bhel Puri. The use of raw mustard oil in jhalmuri gives it a very distinct flavour. Bhel Puri does not use any oil.
Ingredients to make jhalmuri
The main ingredients of bengali jhalmuri are, puffed rice, cucumber, raw mustard oil, boiled potatoes and jhalmudi masala. Jhalmudi masala is nothing but a mix of different spice powders like red chili powder, chat masala and others.(check the recipe ingredients for details)

Your post made me crave this so bad. Its been a while since we made this since the humidity here is so high that the muri tends to lose its crunch. Will make it once the monsoon is over.
