What is Mango Cream?

Mango cream is a popular dessert made by folding fresh mango pulp and mango chunks into lightly sweetened or unsweetened whipped cream. The dessert is chilled before serving and often garnished with chopped pistachios, almonds, or additional mango pieces.

It has a light, mousse-like texture and highlights the natural sweetness of ripe mangoes.

Ingredients

I tried to keep this recipe as simple as possible, and this recipe requires 3 main ingredients. The rest of the ingredients are add-ons 🙂

Mango cream ingredients

Ripe mangoes - Whatever mangoes you like. Atulfo, Kesar, Alphanso, whatever 🙂 You can use this in both ways, pulp and chunks. I am using mango chunks only.

Whipping cream - Heavy whipping cream is the heart of the recipe. Use 35% whipping cream here. For Indian residents, use any non-dairy whipping cream or Nestle whipping cream.

Biscuit crumbs - Crush your favorite biscuits. This is going to be a base, either Parle G, Digestive, or any crackers.

Sweetened Condensed Milk - This ingredient is completely optional. I used a dash of condensed milk here because my kid loves it.

Nuts - optional here; I have not added them, but you can if you like.

Tips for the Best Mango Cream

  • Use naturally sweet, ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
  • Chill the cream and mixing bowl before whipping.
  • Do not overwhip the cream.
  • Fold ingredients gently to maintain a light texture.
  • Refrigerate before serving for a richer taste.

Storage

Store mango cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For the best texture and flavor, enjoy it fresh.
