How to make Italian tomato sauce recipe at home??
Take your favorite pan first 😉 Heat extra virgin olive oil in pan.
Now, add minced garlic, chopped onions and saute them for a while. It will make your onion transparent.
take some fresh tomatoes and make a puree of it. Add this fresh puree to the sauteed onions. Season this mixture with salt ,chili flakes and some basil. Add a pinch of sugar as well.
cook the mixture until thickens.
And your sauce is ready 🙂 assemble it with your favorite dish.

Italian tomato sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 3 large tomatoes, puree
- 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 1.5 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 small onion [approx 1/4 cup], finely chopped
- salt to taste
- chili flakes, to your taste
- 1.5 tsp basil, * check notes
- black pepper powder, optional
- a pinch of sugar
Instructions
- Heat oil in pan.
- Add gralic and onion.
- saute it for a while.
- add tomato puree and mix.
- add salt,basil,chili flakes and black pepper. Add a pinch of sugar as well.
- mix it well.
- cook this sauce for 10-15 min on high flame (* check notes)
- assemble with spaghetti.
Notes
- If you have time then simmer this sauce on low flame. It usually takes 45 mins to be cooked.It will give the best results.
- on high flame, This sauce takes about 20 mins to be done.
- You can use canned puree.
- Adjust the amount of chilli flakes according to your taste.
- If you are using fresh basil leaves then add 6-8 leaves.
