so, how to make hariyali pavbhaji? step by step photos:

first,wash spinach in running water.

bring water to boil. add spinach and boil for 6-7 mins.

strain spinach and transfer into the mixer jar.

add fresh coriander, ginegr and garlic cloves. crush to a smooth paste. keep aside.

heat oil in pan.

add cumin.

add ginger garlic paste and saute for a while.

add chopped onions and saute.

now, add tomatoes and mix well.

add salt to your taste and cook until mushy.

once the tomatoes are cooked, add parboiled green peas , grated capcicum and grated cauliflower and boiled potatoes.

add garam masala and red chili powder. mix it well.

add spinach paste and some water.

mix well and simmer the mixture for 10 mins on medium flame.

add some lemon juice.

add butter on the top if you like and serve hot.

for the spinach paste

  • 2 cup water, to boil spinach
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • ¼ cup fresh coriander
  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup green peas, parboiled
  • ¼ cup capcicum, grated
  • 1 cup boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup cauliflower , grated
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • ½ tbsp red chili powder, optional
  • salt to tatse
  • lemon juice , to taste

for serving

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4-5 fresh pavs or bread
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • cucumber , chopped
