I don’t believe in saying that cake is an important part of any celebration because I personally believe that cake itself is a celebration. A piece of cake gives you all the happiness. I sometimes give a treat to myself in order to remind “who am i” actually. sometimes, you don’t even realize that a piece of cake can give some positivity, some motivation, some inspiration to the person’s life.
anyways, coming back to the topic, usually cakes are prepared using eggs. but in India, people are vegetarians and don’t prefer to eat eggs and meat. we are one them too and this is the reason I am sharing an eggless version of the classic chocolate cake.
I believe in the perfect measurement theory when it comes in baking. So, always keep your eye on your measurements.
This cake is pretty simple, spongy and super moist. I have used plain whipped cream frosting along with this chocolate cake but chocolate buttercream frosting goes pretty good with chocolate cakes.

Priya, I really love what you said about a piece of cake giving happiness, positivity, and inspiration. Right on! I’m not sure why I took such a liking to cake baking early in my life – probably related to how much I love eating cake – but the more I’ve gotten into it, the more I’ve loved doing it. We live in a world where what most people know about cake comes from a box! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve baked someone a cake, and their response is, “You made this from scratch?” One time, someone followed that up with, “I didn’t realize that was possible.” Anyway, what I’m getting to is that when I bake a cake, it’s usually for someone. I love baking birthday cakes for my friends, in fact. I love working with my hands, taking all the time and care that I need to, and presenting someone with something that I didn’t buy, but made. And I love how much they love to eat them! Your cake is just begging for a birthday excuse to bake it!
Thank you jeff 🙂 made my day 🙂 I was off for a few days so please ignore my late response 🙂 regards
The chocolate cake looks absolutely perfect, even without the eggs! A beautiful crumb, it makes my mouth water. The frosting looks delicious as well.
Thanks a lot adina for lovely words 🙂
Who can say no to the perfect slice of chocolate cake?!? Looks so light and fluffy.
