Ideally, Mint sauce is served with lamb. The tradition of serving mint sauce with lamb comes from England, and it dates back to a time when a lamb was significantly more gamy and fatty as compared with today. However, This recipe goes best with anything which is roasted like roasted potatoes , paneer. you can even use this sauce as a marinade with pineapples(check out this recipe). When it comes to an authentic mint sauce recipe version, The base of the sauce is a white vinegar or white wine vinegar. However, I have managed to replace the white vinegar with fresh lemon juice.
