Life Lately

It's been a month since I resumed working on "Project Priya's Curry Nation", and how am I feeling right now? Honestly, grateful and content. Sometimes I feel like I have so much to share, but since this is a public space, I try to keep certain things personal-and I think that's a nice way to keep a little mystery alive too 🙂.

After publishing my last "Talks," I reconnected with a few old blogging friends who took time out of their busy lives to revisit my blog and leave thoughtful comments. It truly made me happy and thankful. In a world full of strangers, it feels special to be remembered by people you've never met, yet who still know your name.

Bye to the old robot

Now, if I had to sum up this past month in true blog style-first things first, it's time to say goodbye to my beloved Roomba i3, which has been with us for five years. Even though it's just a machine, I told my husband that it felt like part of the family. It's been there through everyday life-our good days, little arguments, fights, my child's tantrums, and everything in between.

We switched to a Roborock, and honestly, I didn't want to spend too much on a robot cleaner this time. That said, I'm pleasantly surprised-it works really well for its price. It vacuums efficiently and mops decently, which is all I really need 🙂

un-aesthetic exercise routine

Now, let me share my very un-aesthetic exercise routine 🙂 I'm not a gym person-and I've come to accept that I probably never will be. I truly admire people who can commit to going to the gym regularly, but I've realized it's just not me. The preparation, the routine-it doesn't come naturally to me.

Suryanamashkar
Not so fancy and good-looking exercise routine. Suryanamashkar 5 days a week 🙂

So, what works for me? I started with just 3 Surya Namaskars a day, and now I've worked my way up to 12. Small wins, right? In the beginning, I couldn't even touch the floor, but now I can bend properly and feel the difference. And honestly, can we normalize this? You don't need a yoga mat. You don't need fancy workout clothes. The important thing is simply showing up for yourself and your health.

Easter is always fun for us.

Then came Easter. Every year, I look up local Easter events and pick a farm to visit. My child is now 4, and including summer trips, we've visited about five different farms so far. I think I've got the best little travel companion 🙂

I also made a vegetable curry recently, and it turned out surprisingly delicious!

TRAFFIC update

I restarted the website on March 21, and within the first 15 days, I focused on cleaning up-removing outdated content and blurry images. After more than 6 years in blogging, I know this can affect traffic( I mean No One's Here for Blurry Photos), but it was something I had been wanting to do for a long time. It feels good to create space for fresh content and a clearer vision.

I've only published 5 new posts this month, so I'm still observing how things progress. Let's see where this journey goes 🙂

Income update

I may or may not share these monthly income updates. The purpose of sharing them is to answer the curious questions I often receive about how this works.

Last month, I shared this with one goal in mind-to highlight that many people still don't fully understand what blogging involves. Running a website isn't just about posting trendy reels or polished content on social media. A lot of the real work happens behind the scenes.

This month, even after removing a significant amount of old content, traffic drops, the blog generated $28 through Journey ads.

Since I'm only sharing display ad income here (and not including any collaborations or social media deals), it means I'm currently investing about $41 out of pocket each month to keep the blog running.

These are some of the recipes that are currently getting attention on the blog:

This has never been just a blog; it's a space that holds stories, memories, and meaning.

Here's to those who wandered, paused, and eventually returned to themselves✨
