Sticky masoor dal rice is a recipe that is pretty close to “Indian Khichadi” as khichadi is also a kind of sticky lentil rice.

Ingredients used in this recipe are pretty common and you will get it at any Indian store. I used Indrayani rice variety along with the whole red lentils(masoor), onion, tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, oil, mustard seeds, and cumin. You can always add a pinch of garam masala to enhance the flavors.
