To make perfect pizza dough,

  • Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the water.always allow yaest to activates. it usually takes 5 to 15 mins. depends on the weather.
  • once the yeast activates Shift flour into the yeast mixture with rest of the ingredients and prepare a smooth dough.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
  • Option 1 — Use the dough right away. If you’re in a hurry, skip the rise and make the pizza right now. It will make a thin-crusted pizza with a cracker-like flavor.
  • Option 2 — Let the dough rise for 1 to 2 hours( necessary if you want to keep your dough fresh for a longer time).
  • Option 3 — Store the dough in the fridge. If you’re planning to make pizza in the next few days, cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and refrigerate.
    • Prepare the oven for baking. If your dough is refrigerated, take it out and let it warm on the counter while the oven heats or preferably 2 hours to come completely to room temperature.
  • Finally, Prepare your pizzas.

As I have told you can prepare pizza dough from scratch very easily. it is also important to store your dough properly. I usually make a fresh batch of dough for a day while preparing pizzas but sometimes you will get some leftovers and you need to store them properly to reuse it 🙂

To store pizza dough,

  • Always use plastic bags OR airtight container to store the dough.
  • keep the temperature of refrigerator high.
  • you don’t need to set temperature of a refrigerator when stored in deep freezer.
  • I recommend storing the dough in the freezer for longer shelf life.
  • always brush oil before storing otherwise your dough will get dryness while storing.
  • always allow your dough to set at room temperature before using the stored dough.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups all purpose flour/maida
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¼ cup luke warm water
  • 1 tsp olive oil, *any cooking oil can be used
  • ½ tsp salt
  • water, as required
  • clingfilm, to cover the dough

Instructions

  • in a large mixing bowl,add lukewarm water, 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp dry yeast.
  • rest and allow the yeast to activate.
  • now add maida, olive oil and salt.
  • knead to smooth and soft dough adding more water if required.
  • tuck the dough and form to a ball. place in a large mixing bowl.
  • grease the bowl from sides with olive oil to prevent dough from sticking to bowl.
  • now cover the bowl tightly with cling wrap or plastic wrap and rest for about 2 hours.
  • after 2 hours, dough has raised and doubled in size indicating well fermented.
  • use it as required OR store in air tight container in deep frezer.
