The recipe i am going to share today is a Punjabi style garam masala recipe.

I have shared so many recipes that have garam masala. There are so many brands who serves the best garam masala in the market, however, this time, I choose to make it at home. You can store this recipe for 6 months(approx) in the refrigerator. Making of garam masala takes only 10 min. You just have to dry roast the ingredients.

before making garam masala, below are few notes on the recipe,

  • first, make sure there is no hidden mold or fungi or insects growing on them. if yes, then discard these spices.
  • use fresh spices and not old ones.
  • you can sundry the spices instead of roasting( i choose to roast spices because sometimes i didn’t get enough sunlight)

  1. Oh, that’s great timing! My bought Garam Masala is finished and could not find it again. And I prefer not to order just one jar of spices when ordering online, the transport costs more than the actual spice. This is so easy to make and I have everything I need in the house.

      1. I’ve made the garam masala the other day. I left out the black cardamom because that was the one ingredient I didn’t have. I find the spice mixture superb and I know I will be using it a lot. Thank you.
