Chili oil noodles

Do you guys remember that chili oil recipe I shared on this blog? These noodles have that chili oil as a hero ingredient.
This recipe is quite quick, and you can have it without any veggies, too. If you have time, then chop your favorite vegetables to add more nutritional value to the recipe.
Ingredients
Below are the ingredients needed to make chili oil noodles.

This recipe falls under the 5-ingredients-or-less main dishes category, as it mainly requires 5 ingredients only.
Noodles - Ramen, Spaghetti, anything you like.
Chili oil - Homemade or Store-bought chili works great for this recipe.
Soy sauce - I love dark soy sauce as it gives the amazing color and flavor to the dish. You can use light soy sauce as well.
Garlic (minced) - Any Chinese dish is incomplete without garlic.
Green onions are optional, but if you have them, you can add them, and they are a great garnish.
Salt and pepper
Vegetables - whatever vegetables you have, like broccoli, edamame, peppers, cabbage, etc. I had leftover pepper, hence I am using yellow pepper here. Adding vegetables to the dish is a great choice, but not necessary.
Method
Cook noodles
Boil according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

If using vegetables
Heat oil in the pan, add a little bit of garlic, soy sauce, and vegetables. Sauté on medium flame until golden brown.

Make the base
In a bowl, add chili oil, soy sauce, and sauteed vegetables.

Combine
Toss hot noodles directly into the bowl and mix well.
Finish
Top with chopped green onions and serve promptly.

Lastly, don't miss out on Chinese Vegetable Curry-it's one of my personal favorites and perfect for a comforting, flavorful meal.
The spice level depends on the chili oil you use. You can easily adjust the heat by adding more or less chili oil or balancing it with a pinch of sugar.
You can use ramen, wheat noodles, egg noodles, or even spaghetti. Any noodle that holds sauce well works great. I am using ramen here.
