Cajun Seasoning is one of those recipes, I always want to try but somehow I couldn’t do it. Well, It is better to be late than never. I tried cajun seasoned potatoes at one restaurant in India. Before that, I didn’t know anything about cajun seasoning. I then searched and learn about it.

  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

      1. I think your Cajun seasoning mix is really good! Every region is a little different but the majority is a blend of salt, cayenne, chili powder, black pepper, and garlic powder. Everyone can add a little of their own preference to the mix. =)

  1. We love Cajun seasoning! The commercial stuff is WAY too salty, so we make our own, too. Our recipe looks pretty similar to yours, although I usually skip the salt (easy enough to add salt to whatever dish I’m making). Good stuff — thanks.

  2. Priya, I was raised on the border or Texas and Louisiana which means I was raised on Cajun Spice mix. We always make our own and keep it at hands reach from our stove. Like a number have said, everyone makes there’s a bit different. Me, I go easy on the red pepper and add a little chili powder, ground sage and dry mustard. I’ll give yours at try.
