Indian street foods are the perfect balance of the all kind of flavors like a harmony of flavors 🙂
Bombay veg sandwich is pretty simple yet very delicious recipe. What adds spice to this simple veggie sandwich recipe is spicy green chutney along with the black salt and red chili powder. However, I am using a ready-made sandwich masala powder instead of blacksalt.
Green chutney is a multi-purpose recipe and I have already shared the recipe HERE before on the blog. This is the same recipe you can serve with any kind of fritters, dhoklas or even with the crepes. Additionally, I have also shared a homemade butter recipe which I used in this recipe.
Frankly speaking, I am not a huge fan of sandwiches but This simple sandwich recipe is my choice in the busy and lazy days. Also, I am sure kids will love this recipe.
the veggie sandwich has several health-related benefits as it contains a lot of vegetable slices. however, there are quite a few other sandwich recipes which may easily contribute hundreds of calories to your daily diet. this is because, most of these sandwich recipe comes with cheese, mayo and also other fatty toppings which make a healthy sandwich to disaster. therefor I have decided to keep it very simple, fast and more importantly healthy.
also, I am using brown bread here but you can use your choice of bread. The reason of using brown bread is just the taste. we love the taste of wheat bread however it makes no difference when it comes to the health concern as you can use any type of breads.

I’ve had a lot of Indian food during the last 10 years or so, but really never a sandwich! It sounds wonderful, especially with the potatoes in it. My husband shakes his head when he sees me eating sandwiches with cheese and leftover cold potatoes, he cannot even imagine eating bread and potatoes together. 🙂 But I love the combination, it reminds me of my childhood. And addding beet root and chutney makes things even better.
That is very unique. Loving this triple decker piled high with all of the toppings. Quick, easy, delicious — our 3 favorite words in one!
