What is popcorn? well, Popcorn is a variety of corn kernel, which expands and puffs up when heated. you know what, popcorn is a 10000-year-old recipe and first prepared in the USA. Popcorn is a perfect munch recipe and apart from kids I think every group loves this recipe. popcorns are less oily recipe so those who are on a strict diet can rely on popcorns for their mid time hunger.

In this post, I have covered 3 classic popcorn recipes. These are the most common popcorn varieties. They are butter popcorns, turmeric popcorns, and caramel popcorns. Each recipe is very very easy to prepare.

so how to make popcorns? stepwise photos

butter popcorns

heat your pan. add butter.

once the butter is melted add popcorn maize and cover the lid.

cook it for 10 mins on medium flame. and your popcorns are ready.

turmeric popcorns

heat your pan. add oil.

add turmeric powder and salt.

add popcorn maize and cover the lid.

cook it for 10 mins on medium flame. your popcorns are ready.

caramel popcorns

heat your pan. add oil.

add popcorn maize and cover the lid.

cook it for 10 mins on medium flame.

now, transfer the popcorns in a bowl and in the same pan add sugar.

heat sugar and cook it until brown. Sugar will melt and this sauce does not require water.

turn off the flame and immediately add prepared popcorns into the sugar caramel syrup and mix.

your caramel popcorns are ready.

Ingredients  

for butter popcorn

  • 1.5 tbsp butter(salted)
  • ¼ cup popcorn maize

for turmeric popcorn

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • ¼ cup popcorn maize

for caramel popcorn

  • ¼ cup popcorn maize
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ¼ cup sugar

Instructions

butter popcorns

  • heat your pan. add butter.
  • once the butter is melted add popcorn maize and cover the lid.
  • cook it for 10 mins on medium flame. and your popcorns are ready.

turmeric popcorns

  • heat your pan. add oil.
  • add turmeric powder and salt.
  • add popcorn maize and cover the lid.
  • cook it for 10 mins on medium flame. your popcorns are ready.

caramel popcorns

  • heat your pan. add oil.
  • add popcorn maize and cover the lid.
  • cook it for 10 mins on medium flame.
  • now, transfer the popcorns in a bowl and in the same pan add sugar.
  • heat sugar and cook it until brown. Sugar will melt and this sauce does not require water.
  • turn off the flame and immediately add prepared popcorns into the sugar caramel syrup and mix.
  • your caramel popcorns are ready.

recipe notes

  • always cover the pan with the lid while making popcorns.
