I am back with another post related to the blog basics. The last post was a complete pictorial guide to start your blog on WordPress.Well, Those were the steps I follow for my blog. The following is a current list of the plugins we are using on the curry nation blog. well, I am just a beginner and I always testing new plugins and trying to figure out how to make our site work better, and I’ll keep updating this post.
I will note that we used wpzoom theme previously and switched to the Genesis Framework. My website is a self-hosted website and trust me, Bluehost is the cheapest hosting service. It provides most of the basic facilities including FREE SSL certificate, spam checking and basic protection which are the MUST have things for the new blogs. So,If you’re not on Bluehost yet, check this tutorial.
Plugins are the important part of any blog. Your website performance depends on the balanced use of plugins. I always get the questions about the website speed improvements, SEO,email subscribers and even how frequently I update my blog :). we want to make the things transparent here.
The most common question I get is about the speed.
remember, It is not the number of plugins that affects your site performance but it is a poor plugin scripts that affects your site badly(as per wpbeginner).
so, below are the list of plugins I am using currently.

I use the majority of plugins that you’ve listed — I really love Yoast and Social Warfare!
Even i am in love with social warfare plugin too 🙂 and yeah yoast is the best .
Since my blog is not in the food niche, I use different plugins, but these ones look quite good — thanks for sharing!

Plugins certainly add functionality to a basic WordPress site, good list. I love yoast also, it’s a great plugin.
