Sabudana kheer or Sago pudding is a classic indian dessert recipe made from tapioca pearls, milk and sugar. This recipe is very similar to rice kheer recipe. generally, this sabudana pudding is prepared during Navratri for fasting.

Sabudana is usually my handy ingredient and I used to make snacks like sabudana vada, sabudana khichdi very often. Sago kheer is yet another delicious recipe from the same ingredient.

Sabudana gets super creamy after boiling so this kheer, in the end, gets the super creamy texture. This sabudana kheer naturally thickens after cooling so keep in mind the consistency you want at a time of serving. I suggest serving this kheer chilled.

To make this recipe, You have to soak sabudana for 1 hour atleast. Rest of the preparation is pretty simple. before moving to the recipe, below are the

so, how to make sabudana kheer recipe? step by step photos:

wash sabudana in running water and soak it for 1 hour. (use normal cold water to soak sagos).

take a pan and transfer the milk into it.

meanwhile, drain your sabudanas and keep it aside.

now, add soaked sabudanas into the milk.

bring the mixture to boil.

it takes usually 10 to 15 mins to cook. check if sabudanas are soft enough.

now, add condensed milk according to your taste and mix. cook another 3 to 4 mins.

also, add cardamom powder.

turn off the flame and mix.

add some dry fruits.

allow it to cool down completely.

serve warm or chilled.
