Layers can be seen on paratha when it gets cooks. There are many different recipes for lachha paratha but I am sharing y very plain and simple recipe here.
I used wheat flour only to make quick lachha paratha. You can further combine your wheat flour with maida and a pinch of baking powder.
These paratha goes best with any curry recipe including chana masala.

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- ½ cup water, as per need
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp oil, for kneading dough
- ghee/oil/butter, to roast paratha
Instructions
- take a bowl and add wheat flour.
- add salt to your taste.
- add some oil.
- mix it well. knead your dough.
- add water as required.
- prepare a soft dough.
- allow it to set for 20 min atleast.
- take a portion and prepare a small ball.
- roll it to a thin circle.
- pleat the roti as shown in below image.
- after pleating, roll the pleated dough in a tight circle. join the edges.
- roll it gently.
- heat tava.
- gently place paratha on the hot tava.
- spread some ghee/ butter/oil on both sides.
- roast it to golden brown.
- serve hot.
