I tried to make this recipe REALLY a VERY SIMPLE. I used bay leaf and cinnamon to give prominent flavor to the recipe. I didn’t use garam masala and any other powders like red chili powder I wanted to keep the dish SIMPLE and PLAIN. you can add mint leaves if you like. you can extend this recipe to a mint pulao as well. But If you don’t have any options then recipe can be your time saver.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cup basmati rice, cooked
- ¼ cup matar/green peas, frozen OR fresh
- 1 tsp oil
- ½ tsp cumin
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- coriander, for garnishing
Instructions
- heat oil.
- add cumins.
- when they crackle, add bay leaf and cinnamon stick.
- add onions and saute it.
- add green peas and saute it for a while.
- add salt to your taste.
- add cooked rice.
- mix them well. and cook for 5 mins.
- garnish with coriander.
