These vadas tastes best with south Indian chutneys and even with sambar. breads are very common in our refrigerator. I am using white bread here. I didn’t try this recipe with whole wheat bread but I will update it later for sure.

instant bread medu vada
Ingredients
- 6-7 bread slices
- salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- ¼ cup coriander leaves
- ¼ cup sooji /rava
- ¼ cup rice flour
- ½ cup curd
- 3-4 tablespoon water, if required
- Oil, to deep fry
- 1 tablespoon dry coconut
Instructions
- take a large mixing bowl and transfer bread slices.
- crumble them into small pieces.
- add black pepper powder.
- add onion and coriander leaves.
- add ginger.
- add dry coconut.
- add curd.
- add sooji/rava and rice flour.
- add salt to your taste.
- mix all the ingredients and form a soft dough. if you feel the dough is dry, you can add 1 to 2 tsp of water to make it smooth dough.
- now make a small ball and gently press to flatten. then slowly create a hole in the center like you prepare in medu vada.
- heat oil.
- deep fry the vadas slowly on medium flame.
- fry on both sides till they turn golden brown. drain on paper towel to remove excess oil.
- serve hot vada with chutney or sambar.

- if the dough is sticky, grease your palm with oil and make round vadas.
- if the batter becomes watery, then do not panic add some more rava and rice flour.
