Before moving further, let me tell you what actually the tikkas are?!Tikka is a type of South Asian food, found in Punjabi cuisine, and usually served as an appetizer. “Tikka” refers to a piece of meat, such as a cutlet. The popular dish chicken tikka is made of chicken cutlets in a marinade. Vegetarian varieties are also popular. Tikka prepared with meat is known as Kebab. The major ingredient in vegetarian tikkas is potato. however,Kebabs are a popular dish in Mughlai cuisine.

coming back to the recipe, I used mint and coriander as a base of green paste. I used spinach leaves too to give some extra flavor and color to the recipe.rest of the ingredients are regular and you usually get in your kitchen.Garlic is totally optional here.

I roast the fresh paneer cubes on tawa but you can’t just ignore the tandoor. Those who have a tandoor at home, I personally recommend using tandoor instead of tawa.meanwhile, check out these tips on tandoor cooking.

furthermore, always use green chilies rather than red chilly powder to have green paneer tikka recipe. I used a pinch of red chili powder here i like these tikkas a bit spicy.alternatively, you can also add green colour to have extra dark green colour. lastly, the marination is the key step here and do not skip it. the marination process can be hasten by refrigerating for 30 to 2,3 hours.

At last, I want to share some of the appetizer recipe collection including veg cutlets. also, check out my other recipe collections like,
