This pasta is rich, creamy, and cheesy (if you love cheese ;)) and has some crunch on the top. This pasta is a versatile recipe where you can adjust the amount of cheese according to your choice 🙂 and topped with super spicy and crunchy chickpeas.

T.A.S.T.Y and Ridiculously Easy

Yep, You heard it right. This one is the easiest pasta recipe ever. I also want to mention that, The sauce is minimal and you really don’t require fancy ingredients to prepare chickpeas also.

Chickpea preparation

  • Chickpea preparation is pretty simple here. I used canned chickpeas. However you can use soaked and cooked chickpeas too. Use this guide for the reference.
  • Transfer cooked chickpeas in a baking pan. Add salt, oil and some seasoning. Toss it and roast in an oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 350˚F.
  • Keep it aside.

Pasta and sauce preparation

  • Boil your pasta and keep it aside.
  • For the sauce, Keep your ingredients ready as you have to be a bit quick.
  • Into the pan, heat oil, add garlic, flour and roast it. Add water, seasoning, salt and some cheese if you like.
  • Simmer the sauce for 15 minutes or until thickens.

Creamy linguine with crunchy and spicy chickpeas

Rich, Creamy, easy, cheesy linguine pasta with spicy and crunchy chickpeas.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Serving Size 2 people

Ingredients

To boil pasta,

  • handful linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon oil to cook pasta
  • salt to taste
  • 4 cup water

For sauce,

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasonign mix store – bought Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • cup water to adjust the sauce consistency
  • 4 to 5 fresh basil
  • fresh parmesan as per your taste

For spicy chickpeas,

  • 1 cup white chickpeas cooked or canned
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Mix herbs use store-bought herb mix or make your own by adding a pinch of dry oregano, dry basil, garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon cayyene pepper powder

Instructions

To cook pasta,

  • Take a deep vessel and add water into that.
    4 cup water
  • Add salt and oil and boil it.
    salt to taste, 1 teaspoon oil
  • Once water starts bubbling, add pasta and cook until soft. *Note – Always read packgae instruction to know how long it takes to al-dante pasta.

  • Keep aside and don't throw pasta water.

To prepare chickpeas,

  • Transfer canned or cooked chickpeas into the baking pan.
    1 cup white chickpeas
  • Add oil, salt, seasoning, and cayenne pepper powder.
    1 tablespoon olive oil, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Mix it well.
  • Roast it at 350˚F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Keep it aside.

For the sauce,

  • Heat oil in the pan.
    1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Add garlic and flour and saute it.
    1 teaspoon garlic, ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • Add seasoning, basil, and water.
    1 teaspoon Italian seasonign mix, 4 to 5 fresh basil, 4 cup water
  • Simmer the sauce until thickens.

Assembling

  • Take a serving plate.
  • Add sauce and pasta.
  • Top it with chickpeas and Garnish wiht fresh basil.
  • Enjoy.
