Hello Winter! And honestly, I love having soup not just in fall but in winter too 😉 and this classic tomato soup I am sharing is my all-time favorite recipe.

  • In 1897, Joseph A. Campbell’s recipe for condensed tomato soup further increased its popularity.
  • Tomato soup is considered as one of the top comfort food in the United States and Poland.
  • It is believed that tomato soup is originally a Spanish recipe.

Can we store this tomato soup?

Yes! You can. Prepare a batch of this tomato soup and cool it down completely. Store it in a zip lock bag or in a freezer friendly container. Freeze it. You can freeze this soup for a month or two or even more.

Just take out the batch of this frozen soup and defrost it. warm it and enjoy!

Ingredients

Fresh ripe tomatoes – The heart of the recipe. I have used field tomatoes and wine tomatoes in this recipe. You can use the combination of field, wine, roma and cherry tomatoes. Trust me, it tastes Delicious.

Spices and seasonings – Butter, Black pepper Powder, Garlic, and Salt are the ingredients I used in this recipe.

Tomato Soup

Fresh field tomatoes, garlic, and your favorite seasoning – that’s all you need to make a rich, super tasty, tomato soup.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Serving Size 2 people

Ingredients  

  • 2 nos wine tomatoes
  • 1 no field tomatoes
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper powder to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, optional
  • a pinch of cayenne pepper powder, optional

Instructions

  • Chop your tomatoes first.
  • Tranfser your tomatoes in the pan.
  • Add garlic cloves into tomatoes.
  • Cover pan with the lid and cook on medium flame.
  • When tomatoes are cooked, strain it.
  • Transfer strained tomatoes into the pan again.
  • Add salt, butter, black pepper powder and cayenne pepper powder.
  • mix it well and simmer it on medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • serve hot.
