If you have Heinz baked beans then you are good to go 🙂 However, I used romano beans here which I cooked from scratch (you know I am a girl who loves making recipes from scratch ;))
How to cook beans from scratch? Soak beans for at least 30 minutes and after that, pressure cook beans for 30 minutes on medium flame. Drain and use.
1 cup Romano beans
Heat oil in the pan. Add onion, crushed tomatoes, chili flakes, garlic powder, salt, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and red chili powder.
1 tablespoon Olive oil, 1 medium Onion, 2 Tomatoes, Salt to taste, 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes, 1 teaspoon Garlic powder, ½ teaspoon Apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon Brown sugar, Black pepper powder , ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
Add drained beans into that with a little bit of water and simmer the mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Toast your favorite bread. Spread beans on the bread and garnish with basil and cilantro.
