Yangchow (Yangzhou) fried rice is still the standard by which all other Chinese fried rice dishes are judged.
So the fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that has been stir-fried in a wok or a frying pan and is usually mixed with other ingredients such as eggs, vegetables, seafood, or meat. It is often eaten by itself or as an accompaniment to another dish.
For this recipe, I didn’t use any herbs. I just combine the ingredients with soy sauce.For the vegetables, I used beans, cabbage, and carrots. you can adjust the spice level according to your taste.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1.5 cup rice, cooked
- 1 cup mix vegetables, parboiled ,carrot,beans and cabbage
- salt to taste
- 2 tsp red chili sauce
- ¼ tsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp spring onions
- a pinch of black pepper powder
Instructions
- heat oil in pan.
- add ginger paste and garlic paste.
- add spring onions.
- saute it.
- add parboiled mix veggies.
- add red chili sauce.
- add soy sauce.
- add white vinegar and salt according to your taste.
- cook the mixture for 3 mins.
- add cooked rice.
- mix well.
- serve hot.
Notes
- I soaked 1/2 cup basmati rice for 45 mins which turn almost 1.5 cups when cooked.
- I parboiled my veggies in this recipe because I chopped them and requires some time to cook. you can use grated veggies as well. it will take around 3-4 mins to cook.
