Radish is the vegetable considered as the most hated vegetable.but radishes are not only cheap, it is packed with lots of minerals. Mainly it is good for people who are in the diet, radishes help in losing weight. It is advisable to include radish in a diet to those who are suffering from blood pressure and diabetes.
Sambar is one of the delicious recipes and you can make any variation on your own. You can use any vegetables of your choices including pumpkin, shallots, brinjals, potatoes etc.however, I don’t recommend to add capsicum. This sambar is packed with full flavor, those radishes give this sambar a unique taste and aroma.
Basically, sambar has a tangy, little bit sweet and somewhat spicy taste but sometimes you can avoid tamarind and sugar. I don’t miss these ingredients most of the time.
This radish sambar uses sambar powder and I am using the Everest sambar masala here. I usually don’t prefer ready-made masala but I have this one and trust me, the quality of the masala is too good. 🙂
at last, don’t forget to check these recipes I shared earlier on the blog which includes radish stir-fry, quick mix veg sambar, Bisi Bele bath.
