Frozen yogurt is still pretty new concept in India but I loved it a lot as it is a quick solution for the ice-cream cravings 😉

What is frozen yogurt?

Frozen yogurt is a dessert made with milk solids, sweeteners and frozen fruits. Frozen yogurt has very basic ingredients and low in fat as compared to ice-creams.

It is believed that frozen yogurt was first introduced in U.S.A

Ingredients to make frozen yogurt

This frozen yogurt is pretty easy recipe which is made with just 3 ingredients.

Yogurt – I used regular yogurt here. you can use greek yogurt, lactose-free or low-fat yogurt too.

Mangoes – frozen mangoes are the main flavoring agent here. You can use your choice of fruit here. I used Atulfo mangoes here. You can use Kesar mangoes, Alphonso, tota or whichever mango variety you like.

Condensed milk – I used homemade condensed milk here as sweetener. You can use sugar, honey or maple syrup.

  • In a food processor bowl, transfer yogurt, frozen mangoes and condensed milk.
  • process it until smooth. It will usually take about 5 minutes.
  • Serve frozen yogurt immedieteyl or transfer in an air tight containa and freeze it for an hour or so.

    Mango is happiness and homemade is love. I miss Indian mangoes and the Indian summer so much. Here in the UK I always struggle to get my hands on Alphonso as there is so much demand for these variety.Your frozen version sounds a visual treat.
