Curry Nation Talks #1 August 2018 – catch up on the little things in my life 😉

Priya and Prashant 😉

There are times when I feel extremely nervous from the beginning. Like starting my log on the blogger to write my first ever post, from making this blog my full-time job to the moment when I registered my domain. From starting it again on WordPress to publish my first ever video. This blog is an important part of my life. This blog is my very special friend who motivates me from the beginning.

Each day comes with a surprise. When visitors leave a word on the articles, be it in the form of a comment or suggestion or sometimes just “Hi”, that motivates me. You all are so much supportive and kind.

Most of you, are aware that we are conducting a survey these days and a few of you have already responded. In this survey, we asked our readers whether they would like to read about little things that are happening in our life on the blog. Astonishingly, 90% of you responded affirmatively, “Yes- you should share your personal stories, blog progress, and the things apart from recipes at least once a month”.

So, YES! this is the first ever post which comes straight from my life. I am pretty excited as well as nervous.

August 2018 – This is a mix of good and bad things kinda month.

The bad thing is I shared only one recipe from your demand list. But trust me, I am genuinely working on your demands and promise to share the recipes you wanted to see on the blog soon.

I feel a little guilty about not communicating with my super awesome blogger friends this month. Adina, Heather, hwmagazine and my other friends – I know I have missed so many amazing recipes on your blog this month but I will catch up real soon 🙂

Also, I was unable to interact with the people on my facebook page but the things are sorting out slowly now.

Now, The good things.

This month is all about get-togethers, friends, awesome cooking experiments, and fun(to read about your responses to the survey) 😉

I met 3 of my besties this month – Meghna, Aarti, and Vidhi.  I met Shraddha also but on the video call 😉

Vidhi is my childhood buddy. Can you believe that I and Vidhi are together since our nursery days?!! YES, you read it right, from our nursery days. And for the record, she is a Medical student, pursuing her masters. I am really proud of her. But the most important trait that differentiates her from others is, she is a patient listener. No matter how much I irritate her, she is always all ears and bares with me. I LOVE HER. 😉 Few days back, we just had a looonngggg talk, lunch( I prepared beetroot pulao and matar curry for her)  and again a very long talk. I even posted our photo in my Instagram story that day. No matter where life takes me (and her), she will always be my bestest friend, EVER.

Aarti, Meghna, and Shraddha (strongly in alphabetical order only, the order does not signify how close our relationship is) are my other gems. I feel so lucky to have them in my life. And Yes, for this, full credit goes to “Man Of The House (Mr. Husband)”, because without him I wouldn’t have had a chance to meet these darlings.

Meghana (she goes by alias “Maggie” too ;)) is a “second-time mommy to be”. We know each other for last ~7 years. She went to business school and now working as an HR in one of the firms in Pune, India (if you are looking for a change, you know whom to contact :)). And yes, I love her 4-year-old son Vivaan. The boy is a complete package I must say.

We spent 2 days together. We had delicious pizza and I cooked Capsicum Pulao for her. I don’t know whether she liked it or not. For now, let me just wait for her comment here 😉

Aarti is a “Santoor Mom” in our gang. If I may use Judge Sundar Lal Tripathi’s words, “Madhubala, Hemamalini Aur Madhuri Dixit Ka Perfect Mixture Hai Yai Ladki” (Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi is a character from a Bollywood movie Jolly LLB 2). These words perfectly describe Aarti. When I visited her place, we cooked Khaman dhoklas and a simple vanilla cake together. Oh my god, it was so much fun to cook :). And of course those never-ending talks. Oh yes, how can I forget her delicious “white sauce pasta, treat”!!!

I am not going to introduce Shraddha this time purposely. But I promise the suspense will be revealed next month ;).

  3. Hiya Priya! We are delighted that you took some time to reground and spend some time with the very special people in your life. Blogging can be busy and stressful and sometimes we neglect the very things that are important to us like family and friends. Yeah, they get fed well but they need a bit more. Take that special time as we will always be here when you return. Take Care
