veg biryani in pressure cooker recipe
Delicious and Quick veg biryani recipe.This recipe is a quicker version of
veg dum biryani
recipe. This recipe is quite easy to prepare. There is no need to pre-cook vegetables or rice.

basmati rice
soaked

ginger chili garlic paste

curd

red chili powder
* to your taste

turmeric powder

tsp
coriander powder
salt to taste

sliced [optional]
fresh coriander
for garnishing

bay leaf

black cardamom

water
to boil rice

cup
mix vegtables,chopped
(i used potato,green peas,beans and cauliflower)
Instructions
heat oil in cooker.
add 1 small sliced onion and fry until golden brown. keep aside.
add cumin in the same cooker.
add bay leaf and cardamom.
add ginger chili garlic paste and sliced onions. saute it for a while.
add chopped vegetables.
add salt to your taste.
mix curd,red chili powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder in a bowl and mix it well.
add this mixture to the vegetables and mix it well.
add soaked rice and water(DO NOT MIX)
pressure cook it for 4 whistles.
sprinkle fried onions,sliced tomatoes and fresh coriander.
serve hot.

Notes
you can skip adding raw tomatoes on the top. I personally like to have raw tomatoes on the top of biryani.
you can even add tomatoes along with mix vegetbales.
you can even add saffron milk on the top. for that, soak 5-6 saffron thread in 2 tbsp milk for 10 mins. add this before pressure cooking the rice.
you can even use biryani masala. use 1 tsp for this measurement.
