moth beans

water
to soak moth beans

water
to cook khichri
1
tbsp
ghee

cup
rice
¼
tsp
cumin
a
pinch
of asafoetida
5-6

curry leaves
1-2
medium
green chilies
½
tsp
turmeric powder

tsp
red chili powder
salt to taste
Instructions
soak moth beans for 2 hours atleast. after getting soaked, beans doubles up in size.
soak rice for 30 mins to get the best result.
heat ghee.
add cumins.
add asafoetida.
add curry leaves and green chilies.
saute.
add soaked moth beans.
add soaked rice.
add turmeric powder and red chili powder.
add salt to taste.
add water and mix.
pressure cook for 5 whistles.
add a dollop of ghee on the top.
serve hot.

you can add onions. In case of using onions, add along with green chilies and saute.
