red chili powder

sambar powder

tamarind pulp
salt to taste
Instructions
pressure toor dal and keep it aside.
meanwhile, chop your drumsticks and keep it aside.
heat oil.
add mustard and fenugreek seeds.
when crackle, add asafoetida and curry leaves.
add shallots and ginger.
saute.
add chopped drumstick.
add turmeric powder, red chili powder and
sambar powder
.
add tamarind pulp and mix.
add cooked dal.
add salt to your taste.
boil for 15 mins.
enjoy.

for this measurement,take 1/2 cup toor dal and 2 cups water. pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
