Soak masoor dal for 45 mins at least before boiling. transfer the soaked dal into a pressure cooker. add water.pressure cook it for 4 whistles on medium flame.
heat oil in a pan.
add cumins.
add garlic and onion.
add green chili as well and saute for a while.
Add turmeric powder and cook it for 5 mins.
add tomatoes.
add garam masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
