garlic

onion [approx ¼ cup]
finely chopped
salt to taste
chili flakes
to your taste

basil

Instructions
Heat oil in pan.
Add gralic and onion.
saute it for a while.
add tomato puree and mix.
add salt,basil,chili flakes and black pepper. Add a pinch of sugar as well.
mix it well.
cook this sauce for 10-15 min on high flame (* check notes)
assemble with spaghetti.
Notes
If you have time then simmer this sauce on low flame. It usually takes 45 mins to be cooked.It will give the best results.
on high flame, This sauce takes about 20 mins to be done.
You can use canned puree.
Adjust the amount of chilli flakes according to your taste.
If you are using fresh basil leaves then add 6-8 leaves.
