Wash and chop your broccoli into medium pieces and keep it aside.
Start the instant pot in sauté mode and heat oil in it. Add mustard and cumin seeds.

Once the cumin seeds start to change colour, add minced garlic and saute for 2 minutes.

Add broccoli, green chilli, ginger, toor dal, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Stir and sauté for 2 minutes.
1 cup toor dal, 1 to 1½ cup broccoli, 1 green chili, ¼ teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon red chili powder, salt to taste
Add water. Stir it well. Press Cancel and close the lid with a vent in the sealing position.

Change the instant pot setting to manual or pressure cook mode at high pressure for 15 mins. After the instant pot beeps, let the pressure release naturally for in 10 minutes or release the pressure manually.
