Easy Sweet and tangy mango pickle recipe

This is probably my last seasonal post as mango season is almost over here and it started raining here.
I have got inspiration to try this recipe from one of my face-book follower.I love Gor-keri char but typical method of gur keri is very lengthy process and I am quite young to judge the texture of mangoes and masalas.

You can not store this Mitha keri achar in room temperature. you have to store this pickle in refrigerator.
I have used regular spices here.Mustard powder,red chili powder,turmeric powder and jaggery.

  Recipe Khatta Mitha Keri achar-how to make Sweet mango pickle

Prep Time :15 min

Cook Time :0 min
Total Time :15 min
Main Ingredient :Raw  mango ,jaggery
Cuisine :Gujarati


  •  1 medium size raw mango
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup jaggery,grated
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • 3 tbsp mustard powder


    1. Cut your mango in medium pieces.
    2. Take a large mixing bowl.
    3. Add mustard powder,red chili powder,turmeric powder ,salt ,asafoetida and mix them well.
    4. Add chopped mangoes.
    5. Add oil and jaggery.
    6. Mix all well.
    7. Store them in air tight container .
    8. Use after 1 day so that jaggery can melt properly and store them in refrigerator.
