I am back here with another Simple, No OIL ,Healthy Recipe-Khichdi.
Also sharing Step by Step photos.
I feel so proud that We are the Founder of Yellow Khichdi-Yes you are right,Khichadi is the recipe founded in Gujarat.
very few people likes khichadi. There are many variants of this recipe
like Masala Khichadi, Khichdo ,Tempered khichadi. I have lot to share
guys,but right now i am sharing very basic version.
Recipe is made with Rice and Green Moong dal. However you can use Yeloow
moong dal as well-that will be an another version of Khichadi.
When you are preparing Khichadi make sure,your khichadi should be soft enough, that should be melt in mouth.
The other you should keep in mind is – Measurements. Water Measurement is very important in Khichadi.
For simple khichadi, 1 cup rice+dal = 3+1/2 cup water.
If you don’t follow the measurement or add less water then this your khichadi will burnt.
time of serving, Add some GHEE on hot Khichadi.It will enhance the
taste. we gujaraties usually serve Ghee-Khichadi with kadhi.
