Recipe: Chole | how to make chole

Hi every one,
Today, I am going to share very famouse heavy break fast recipe- chole bhatoore.
Chole bhature are served with onions,carrot pickle,green chutney and is popular breakfast around noryj-west India and other parts of the country.


Ingredients for Chole:

  • Boil cheakpeas – 1 cup medium
  • Onion ,finely chopped – 1 medium size
  • Tomato, par boil deseeded – 1 medium size
  • Garlic paste – 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger-chilli paste – 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Garam masala – pinch
  • Everest chole masala – 1tbsp(Optinal)
  • Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp
  • Coriender,chopped – 1tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – for tempering
  • Cumin seeds -1tsp

Method for Chole :

  1. Heat oil in pan and add jeera / cumin seeds,when they crackle add ginger-garlic-chilli paste onion and saute it very well.
  2. Add tomato and add all spices(salt,chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala,chole masala).
  3. Now mix this very well and cook for 10 mins.
  4. Add 1 tbsp water and boiled chekpeas.
  5. Mix and cook for 5 mins.
  6. Add kasoori methi.
  7. Garnish with coriender.
  8. Serve hot.

I serve Curd,achaar,papad,rice, bhatoorah with chole…
